Ignacio's vast experience, spanning over forty years, and passion for growing quality winegrapes is reflected in our exceptional wines. As a child, Ignacio spent his free time alongside his father Ignacio Sr, learning the craft of grape growing and vinification. At 16 he began working after school and weekends under Edgar Beard of Beard Ranches, where he was eventually promoted to supervisor. Ignacio has been working full time in the vineyards of Napa Valley since 1976. He went on to become vineyard foreman of Rutherford’s 100-acre J.J. Cohn Ranch, an estate now owned by Francis Ford Coppola and Scarecrow. Ignacio is a family man, and when not at work, you can find him spending time with his wife, Silvia, and their family.
