Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
J and J Vineyard is 20 acres of natural beauty, with 14 acres of sustainably farmed vineyards. The vineyard sits at the highest point of Sage Canyon Road, at almost 1200 feet in elevation. Its diverse soil, microclimate, and exposure is perfect for growing world class grapes. This remarkable property has several spring fed lakes, natural soda springs, and several acres dedicated to farming of fruit trees, vegetables, herbs, and gardens.
Production Notes
The grapes are sorted, de-stemmed, and gravity transferred into tank for a 14 day indigenous yeast fermentation. Upon completion, the tank is drained overnight to capture the concentrated free run wine. This Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in 50% new French oak barrels/50% neutral French oak barrels for 21 months.
Winemaker Notes
This full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon expresses flavors of plum, tobacco, black cherry, and blueberry, and ends with the smooth velvety finish.
